Job Title Procurement Project Manager Job Description #EOS #PHILIN Job title: Procurement Project Manager Your role: Job Responsibilities: • Supports in assembling and engaging suppliers on project Bill of Materials (BoM) Requests for Proposal (RFPs), ensuring comprehensive supplier involvement. • Works under general supervision, conducting Design for Excellence (DfX) activities to identify opportunities for improving product cost, quality, and risk, ensuring optimal product performance. • Supports in organizing early supplier innovation events to involve suppliers at the beginning stages of the product innovation process, fostering collaboration and new ideas. • Utilizes technical insights to influence design specifications, ensures supplier and part capability and ensures cost competitiveness. • Collaborates with Innovation and Engineering and integrate supplier innovations into products to optimize propositions, delivering the best value for Philips and its customers. • Develops innovative solutions to simplify, standardize, or platform components or assemblies across the portfolio, enhancing efficiency and consistency. • Helps to develop ideas and opportunities for product cost reduction and quality improvement. • Provides cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk reduction through proactive supplier engagement in Advanced Development and New Product Development projects. • Provides the business with valuable product and supply base insights, leveraging engineering expertise to support strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. • Understands and apply the principles of Design for Excellence (DfX), Cost Engineering, and materials/goods flow, along with knowledge of IT systems related to product inputs connected to 12 NC's. • Participates in Cost down, Quality up, and risk reduction projects, managing and reporting results within project teams, significantly impacting the sourcing and cost price of components or product modules in new product introductions. . You're the right fit if: Minimum required Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Research & Development, Quality, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent OR no prior experience required with Master's Degree. Minimum required Education: Bachelor's Degree/ Vocational Education in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Operations, Business or equivalent.
