Senior Merchandiser

Job Title: Senior Merchandiser Department: Merchandising / Supply Chain / Product Reports To: Merchandising Manager / Head – Merchandising Job Summary The Senior Merchandiser is responsible for end-to-end merchandising operations including product planning, sourcing, vendor coordination, order execution, and timely delivery while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The role requires strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and cross-functional coordination to drive business objectives. Key Responsibilities • Manage the complete merchandising cycle from product development to final shipment • Coordinate with buyers, designers, production, quality, and logistics teams • Develop seasonal product assortments based on market trends and customer demand • Source and negotiate with vendors to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely order execution • Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, quality standards, and company policies • Track order status, approvals, and documentation (POs, samples, shipments) • Resolve production or supply chain issues proactively • Analyze sales performance and inventory to optimize assortment planning • Guide and mentor junior merchandisers • Prepare reports related to costing, margins, order status, and vendor performance Required Skills & Competencies • Strong understanding of merchandising, sourcing, and supply chain processes • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills • Knowledge of market trends, fabrics/materials, and costing (as applicable) • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools • Excellent communication and coordination skills • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple orders Location - Kalol Immediate Joiner Preferred Industry - Garment Industry Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month Benefits: • Paid sick time Work Location: In person
