Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a strong focus on data modeling and data architecture to help design scalable, efficient, and reusable data foundations across heterogeneous data sources. While a solid data engineering foundation is required, having experience re-modeling data to support cross-domain analytics, standardization, and enterprise-scale use cases—particularly in environments where multiple standards, regions, or business units must be harmonized. Experience with Palantir Foundry and ontology development is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement enterprise-grade data models that unify data from multiple source systems, standards, and regions into a common, reusable structure • Lead or contribute to re-architecture and re-modeling initiatives, transforming legacy or siloed data into scalable, analytics-ready models • Work across business domains to define canonical entities, relationships, and hierarchies • Build data solutions that support cross-refinery, cross-region, or cross-organization analytics • Collaborate with platform, analytics, and business teams to ensure data models are: • Intuitive for consumption • Efficient for performance and scalability • Flexible enough to accommodate regional or operational variations • Ensure best practices around data governance, consistency, lineage, and semantic clarity • Support downstream use cases including analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and operational insights • Combining data from multiple refineries or plants, each operating with different data standards, into a unified enterprise data model • Aggregating data across financial institutions, regions, or business units (e.g., multiple banks, countries, or regulatory frameworks) • Standardizing and modeling data from retail networks, such as: • Multiple stores across countries with varying schemas • Data aggregation across different brands or suppliers (e.g., combining data from different retailers or partners) • Designing models that enable apples-to-apples comparisons across entities that were not originally designed to align Role Requirements and Qualification: • Strong foundation in Data Engineering (ETL/ELT, pipelines, data integration) • Deep experience in data modeling and data architecture, including: • Conceptual, logical, and physical data models • Canonical data models and semantic layers • Proven experience re-modeling data rather than performing pure lift-and-shift migrations • Experience working with complex, heterogeneous data ecosystems • Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data platforms (cloud or hybrid) • Ability to translate business concepts into well-structured data entities and relationships Preferred / Nice-to-Have • Palantir Foundry experience, especially: • Ontology development • Object, relationship, and action modeling • Experience in oil & gas, refining, energy, financial services, or large-scale retail • Exposure to domain-driven design or semantic data modeling approaches • Experience supporting enterprise analytics or AI/ML use cases • Strong communication skills and ability to work with business and technical stakeholders Why Join Us: • Opportunities to work on transformative projects, cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions with leading global firms across industry sectors. • Continuous investment in employee growth and professional development with a strong focus on up & re-skilling. • Competitive compensation & benefits, ESOPs and international assignments. • Supportive environment with healthy work-life balance and a focus on employee well-being. • Open culture that values diverse perspectives, encourages transparent communication and rewards contributions.
