AI / Machine Learning / Python Developer Intern

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our innovative technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data-driven applications and machine learning models. Duties • Develop and optimise Python-based applications for data analysis, machine learning, and AI solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable database architectures and data pipelines. • Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services to support data processing workflows. • Integrate machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and utilise tools like Spark, Hadoop, and R for big data analytics. • Conduct data mining activities to extract valuable insights from large datasets. • Develop scripts in Bash (Unix shell) for automation and system management tasks. • Design efficient database schemas and write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation. • Contribute to natural language processing projects by developing algorithms that interpret and generate human language. • Assist in the development of Java, C, or VBA components where necessary to support integrated systems. • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices. Skills • Proven experience with Python programming in a professional setting. • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment strategies. • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and expertise in AI development. • Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and related tools. • Proficiency in SQL database design, optimisation, and query writing. • Knowledge of data mining techniques and statistical analysis methods using R or SAS. • Ability to develop natural language processing algorithms for text analysis applications. • Competence in Java, C, Bash (Unix shell scripting), VBA, or similar languages is advantageous. • Understanding of distributed computing concepts and experience working with large datasets is preferred.
