General –
To manage and lead the Solar Structure category by identifying new suppliers (Supplier development), developing vendor partnerships, generating business leads along with demand team, and managing techno-commercial evaluation ensuring timely availability, quality compliance, and competitive pricing aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities -
• Build and scale the Solar Structures category (Ground mount/tin shed) for the trading business
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new manufacturers and fabricators for solar structures
• Generate and qualify new supplier leads across India
• Conduct techno-commercial evaluations of vendors, including technical capability, pricing, capacity, and compliance
• Negotiate commercial terms such as pricing, credit period, delivery timelines, and warranties
• Generate leads over and above the enquiries generated by demand team
• Support the sales team with vendor capability details, pricing inputs, and feasibility assessments
• Focus on closure for solar structure deals with market competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Logistics, Finance) to enable smooth transaction execution
• Track market trends related to steel prices, fabrication capacity, and demand for solar structures
Key Skills & Competencies-
• Strong understanding of solar mounting structures and tracker systems
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiations
• Sound commercial and margin-oriented mindset
• Established vendor network within the solar / steel ecosystem
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
Minimum experience - Minimum 3 years in Steel or Solar Structure categories.
