DBA - Oracle & SQL

Role & responsibilities:EPM Planning & Essbase (Core Focus) : - Lead implementation and support of EPM Planning solutions.- Work extensively with Essbase Standalone Cubes, including : a. Data loadsb. Cube processing and calculationsc. Business rules and scripting- Develop and maintain financial planning models and data flows.- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and system optimization.Python & Data Integration (Core Focus) : - Develop and maintain Python-based integration and transformation components.- Build scalable data pipelines for finance and analytics systems.- Work on automation, modular codebases, and reusable frameworks.- Support API-based integrations and backend processing.Database & Integration : - Use SQL for complex transformations, procedures, and data handling.- Work with REST APIs and integration adapters.- Design and extend data models and data warehouses.Analytics & Integration (Good to Have) : - Exposure to Oracle Analytics tools : a. OAC / OAS / OBIEE / ODIb. Support analytics and reporting integrations where required.Delivery & Collaboration : - Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and estimations.- Work in Agile environments following SDLC best practices.- Maintain code and configurations using GIT.- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.- Prepare technical and functional documentation.Preferred candidate profile : Mandatory Skills (Primary Focus) : - Strong expertise in Oracle EPM Planning- Deep experience with Essbase (data loads, calc scripts, APIs, cube processing)- Strong hands-on experience in Python (mandatory) : a. Data integrationb. Data transformationc. Automation- Strong SQL skills- Experience with REST APIs and integration patterns- Experience working in Agile environments- Proficiency with GIT / version controlGood to Have : - Experience with Oracle Analytics (OAC / OAS / OBIEE / ODI)- Exposure to OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)- Experience in Finance Data Platforms / Finance Data Hub- Experience working with UK or global stakeholdersSoft Skills : - Strong communication and client-facing ability- Ability to explain technical and functional designs clearly- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset- Ability to work independently and collaboratively (ref:hirist.tech)
