Position Summary The University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science . The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, engaging in research activities, mentoring students, and contributing to academic administration and curriculum development. Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching & Academic Delivery Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science. Develop course materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources. Conduct lectures, tutorials, lab sessions, and seminars. Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, examinations, and continuous assessment. Integrate modern teaching methodologies and digital tools. 2. Research & Publications Conduct high-quality research in areas such as: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Data Science & Big Data Analytics Cybersecurity Cloud Computing Internet of Things (IoT) Software Engineering Publish research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals (Scopus/SCI/UGC-CARE listed). Apply for funded research projects and collaborate with industry/academic partners. Guide student research projects and dissertations. 3. Academic & Administrative Responsibilities Participate in curriculum design and revision as per industry trends and NEP guidelines. Contribute to accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA). Mentor students for academic and career development. Organize workshops, FDPs, seminars, and technical events. Serve on departmental and university committees as required. Eligibility Criteria Essential Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / related discipline (as per UGC norms). M.Tech / M.E. in relevant specialization with excellent academic record. NET/SET qualification (if applicable as per regulatory requirements). Experience 0–5 years of teaching/research/industry experience (fresh Ph.D. candidates may apply). Demonstrated research publications in reputed journals/conferences. Experience in handling programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or related technologies.
