HR Specialist - Employee Relations & Compliance Location: Gurgaon Reports To: India HR Manager Role Summary We are seeking a proactive HR Specialist to join Anaplan's growing Global Capability Center (GCC) in Gurgaon. This role will be the primary escalation point for employee relations issues and a key partner in executing HR programs, ensuring a positive and compliant workplace. You will play a central role in supporting employee relations and compliance across the organization, while also supporting the development of a scalable People function. While the initial years will focus on establishing a solid foundation, the role offers significant growth potential within the GCC, including exposure to cross-region HR practices and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Employee Relations • Act as the primary escalation point for employee queries and concerns that require specialist attention beyond our Tier 1 People Operations team. • Lead or support investigations into moderately complex employee relations cases, facilitate conflict resolution, and manage disciplinary processes, ensuring company policies are applied fairly and consistently. • Provide expert guidance and coaching to managers on handling employee relations issues, performance management, and best practices, escalating high-risk cases to the HR Manager. • Compliance & HR Programs • Partners with the HR Manager to ensure that all HR policies and Indian labor laws are consistently followed across the organization. • Support execution of annual HR programs, including performance appraisals, employee surveys, training, and engagement initiatives. • Assist with internal and external HR audits, reporting, and manage compliance documentation. • Shared Services & Operational Excellence: • Collaborate closely with the People Operations team to ensure the seamless delivery of day-to-day HR services and mentor on complex operational matters. • Serve as the Tier 2 escalation point for complex HR scenarios and policy interpretations • Partner with the HR Manager on process improvements and strategic HR initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the People function. Experience & Skills Required • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • 4-8 years of hands-on experience conducting or supporting employee relations investigations and conflict resolution • Strong and practical understanding of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and employee relations frameworks. • Experience with HRIS systems (such as Workday or an equivalent) • Prior experience in a shared services or corporate GCC environment is a plus Key Characteristics • Excellent Communicator: Handles sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism. • Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Self-starter who works independently and ensures accuracy in compliance and operational tasks. • Collaborative: Works effectively within a team, guides junior members, and escalates complex issues appropriately. • Adaptable & Resilient: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing both employee-facing and compliance responsibilities. • Growth-Oriented: Eager to develop expertise in employee relations and compliance, with potential to broaden responsibilities as the GCC matures.
