Staff Nurse - PICU & NICU (India)

We at Ankura Hospital for Women and Children are looking for Nursing Staff at our Attapur branch . Department: PICU Reporting To: In-Charge / Nursing Superintendent Location: Attapur Job Summary The PICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized critical care nursing to infants and children admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The role involves continuous monitoring, administering medications, assisting in critical procedures, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and family-centered care. Key Responsibilities Patient Care - Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill infants and children in the PICU. - Monitor vital signs, neurological status, oxygen saturation, and hemodynamic parameters. - Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and nutrition as prescribed. - Assist doctors during emergency and critical procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and resuscitation. Clinical Monitoring - Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors, and defibrillators. - Identify early signs of deterioration and immediately escalate to the medical team. - Maintain accurate nursing records and documentation. Infection Control & Safety - Follow strict infection control practices and PICU protocols. - Maintain sterile environment and ensure proper use of PPE. - Participate in code blue and emergency response situations. Patient & Family Support - Educate parents about the child’s condition, treatment plan, and care requirements. - Provide emotional support to families during critical situations. Coordination - Coordinate with pediatricians, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. - Assist in patient transfer within hospital units or during referrals. Qualifications & Experience - B.Sc.
