Role Overview: As the Inbound Manager at Maersk, you will be responsible for overseeing all inbound operations within the warehouse. Your role will involve efficiently managing the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods to ensure seamless inbound logistics. You will play a crucial part in optimizing workflow, maintaining high standards of inventory control and safety, and leading a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and supervise the receipt, inspection, and unloading of all inbound shipments. - Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming goods in line with company standards and purchase orders. - Coordinate effectively with suppliers and carriers to address delivery issues and optimize shipping schedules. - Lead and manage a team of inbound warehouse staff, assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations. - Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. - Oversee accurate placement and strategic storage of incoming goods to maximize space utilization. - Monitor inventory levels diligently to ensure accurate stock counts and timely replenishment. - Develop, implement, and refine SOPs for all inbound processes to enhance operational efficiency. - Identify and implement process improvements using data and performance metrics. - Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. - Maintain accurate records and documentation for all inbound operations and staff performance. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. - Proven experience in warehouse operations with a focus on inbound processes, including 5 years in a supervisory role. - Strong understanding of inbound logistics, inventory control principles, and WMS. - Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software. - Strong analytical ability to solve problems and implement solutions. - Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse management.
