About Application Ally
Application Ally is a student mentorship platform that helps applicants gain admission to leading
national and international universities. We provide personalized guidance across the entire
admissions journey, from profile-building and college selection to essays and final
decision-making.
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and organized Education Consultant to manage college
application strategy for students applying to universities in the US, UK, Canada, Singapore,
Australia, and other destinations.
The role includes a part-time probationary period during March–April (with stipend),
followed by a full-time position starting May 2026. Candidates may transition to full-time
earlier based on performance and availability.
This is a high-ownership, client-facing role involving close mentorship of students and parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze student profiles to understand academic strengths, intended majors, and career goals.
- Identify gaps in extracurricular experience and work with the profile-building team to plan
- high-impact activities such as personal projects, research papers, internships, and social
- impact initiatives.
- Serve as primary point of contact for students and parents, managing high-touch mentorship
- across the admissions cycle (averaging 5+ strategic touchpoints per student per week)
- Track student progress, deadlines, and application milestones using systematic workflows to
- ensure timely execution and proactive intervention across all client cases
- Assist in the development of personalized, data-informed college lists aligned with students'
- academic profiles, extracurricular depth, career goals, and geographic preferences
- Assist in essay strategy and writing development, including ideation, structural guidance,
- multiple feedback rounds, and final polishing.
- Design and deliver workshops on essays, application portals, financial aid, scholarships, and
- resume-building for students and families
- Provide post-application guidance covering interview preparation, financial aid evaluation
- and negotiation, and final college selection.
- Conduct research and stay updated on admissions requirements, trends, and processes across
- different countries and university systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4th year students in Education, English, Psychology, Business,
- Humanities, or a related field (Liberal Arts graduates are highly encouraged to apply)
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple
- client cases simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, clear, professional, and fluent.
- Comfortable leading video calls and in-person sessions with students and parents
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt, problem-solve, and stay composed in a fast-paced
- environment
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Prior exposure in mentoring, education support, or client-facing roles preferred but not
- required
Preferred backgrounds:
Education, English, Psychology, Business, Humanities, or Liberal Arts.
Compensation
Full-Time: INR 4.0 – 4.5 LPA
Part-Time Training Period (March–April): INR 10,000/- per month
