Mandatory skills:
• Min 5+ years of hands-on experience in creating Pl/SQL functions, stored procedures, packages, views, triggers, collections, complex querying techniques, Query optimization/Performance tuning techniques, indexes( all are mandatory). Real life troubleshooting skills also must.
• Min 3 years of experience in ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) using Oracle custom scripts or an ETL tool
• Min 1 year of experience in Unix commands and scripting
• Flexibility to work in any RDBMS database tech like MSFT or Oracle.
• Should be well versed in RDBMS constructs and CAP Theory.
• Should be able to explain the redo and rollback functionalities in RDBMS
• Should be able to explain performance by design constructs for different types of data stores like OLTP and OLAP
• Should be aware of Bill Inmon Vs Ralph Kimball school of thoughts in data warehouse constructs and should be able to articulate the pros and cons of the design principles
• Should be able to understand and articulate multiple data modelling design principles like Canonical data model, ER model , Start schema, Data lake, etc.
Good to Have:
• Agile Technique experience is highly desirable
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB are highly desirable
