Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments including configurations for clustering, storage, and networking.

• Administer VMware vSAN for storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and availability for business applications.

• Utilize VMware vROPS to monitor and manage the performance of virtual machines and infrastructure, providing actionable insights for optimization.

• Deploy and configure VMware vRLI to enhance logging and troubleshooting capabilities across various applications and services.

• Implement VMware vRA for automation and governance of IT services, streamlining processes for both application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.

• Conduct regular system performance assessments and capacity planning in order to maintain an efficient virtual infrastructure.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to execute migrations, upgrades, and patches while minimizing downtime and risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in VMware technologies, specifically in vSphere, vSAN, vROPS, vRLI, and vRA.

• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and experience with virtual networking and storage solutions.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, or similar technologies to streamline operations.

• Certifications in VMware (VCP, VCAP or higher) are highly desirable.

• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of VMware environments to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
