Network Specialist Technology Global Capability Center (GCC) – Hyderabad, India Role Details Position: Network Specialist Engineer – IT / OT Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India Department: AIM Reports To: Network Coordinator (and Line Manager) Supervisory Role: No 1. Purpose of the Role The Network Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT and OT network infrastructure . The role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of network systems supporting industrial operations. The Network Specialist coordinates, plans, and executes work in close consultation with production lines, server coordinators, and security officers , ensuring alignment with operational and security requirements. 2. Key Responsibilities Network Operations Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize operational impact Ensure network security through implementation and maintenance of appropriate security measures Technical Administration Perform adjustments and changes to network components for optimization or evolving requirements Modify firewall rules for new or modernized systems in line with IT/OT Security Officer guidelines Manage and adjust central DNS configurations Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and compliance Network Extension & Modernization Design and implement OT network solutions for industrial control systems Expand WLAN coverage across IT and OT environments Implement new technologies to support growing bandwidth and functionality demands Stay current with network technologies and industry best practices Collaboration ~ Collaborate with IT and OT teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems Framework Conditions ~ Working hours aligned to GMT +1 3. Requirements Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in IT One or more of the following certifications: Cisco CCNA / CCIE Extreme XNA / ECA CheckPoint CCSA / CCSE Experience ~ Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar Network Specialist role
