Pharmacist -Trainee

Job Title: Pharmacist Trainee Department: Pharmacy Reports To: Chief Pharmacist / Pharmacy In-Charge Location: Hospital / Healthcare Facility Job Summary: The Pharmacist Trainee will assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The trainee will gain practical experience in dispensing medications, inventory management, patient counseling, and hospital pharmacy procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in dispensing medicines as per prescriptions under supervision. • Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness. • Maintain proper storage of medicines as per regulatory guidelines. • Support inventory control, stock checking, and expiry monitoring. • Prepare billing for pharmacy sales. • Maintain records as per hospital policies and statutory requirements. • Assist in receiving and checking medicine supplies from vendors. • Provide basic medication information to patients under supervision. • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy. • Follow NABH / hospital quality standards and safety protocols. Qualification & Requirements: • D.Pharm / B.Pharm (completed or final year awaiting result). • Valid State Pharmacy Council registration (if applicable). • Basic knowledge of medicines and pharmacy operations. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office / Hospital software). • Willingness to work in shifts.
