Job Description (JD)Designation: Staff Nurse – OT (Experienced) Department: Operation Theatre (OT) Experience: Minimum 3 years OT experience Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing Gender: As per hospital policy Duty Type: Shift duty with on-call / call duty WillingnessReporting To: OT In-Charge / Nursing Superintendent Role Summary The Staff Nurse – OT will be responsible for providing safe, sterile, and efficient nursing care during surgical procedures, supporting surgeons and anesthetists, and ensuring adherence to OT protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies. Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Operative Responsibilities • Verify patient identity, consent forms, and surgical checklists • Prepare OT, instruments, consumables, and equipment as per surgery schedule • Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are strictly followed • Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery Intra-Operative Responsibilities • Act as Scrub Nurse / Circulating Nurse as assigned • Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout procedures • Assist surgeons during procedures with instruments and supplies • Monitor patient safety and report abnormalities immediately • Maintain accurate surgical counts (instruments, sponges, needles) Post-Operative Responsibilities • Assist in patient transfer to recovery room • Monitor post-operative vitals and condition • Ensure proper documentation of OT records • Prepare OT for next procedure • Call Duty & Emergency Responsibilities • Willingness to attend emergency call duties, night calls, and holidays • Support emergency surgeries and critical procedures as required • Ensure readiness during on-call periods Job Type: Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Benefits: • Health insurance • Provident Fund Work Location: In person
