Autonomous Vehicle Development Engineer

About the job: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our autonomous vehicle development team. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical components and systems for AI-driven automated vehicle, ensuring reliability, safety, and integration with advanced sensors and computing systems used in autonomous mobility. Responsibilities • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and structures for autonomous vehicle platforms. • Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, etc.). • Perform tolerance analysis, structural analysis, and thermal considerations for vehicle components. • Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical systems. • Optimize designs for manufacturability, durability, and cost efficiency. • Participate in design reviews and implement improvements based on test results. Required Qualifications • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive, robotics, or mobility systems. • Strong experience with CAD software such as , CATIA, Fusion 360, or similar tools. • Understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes. • Experience designing components for sensor mounting, vehicle structures, or robotic systems. • Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with chassis design . • Knowledge of simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB). • Familiarity with GD&T . • Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining).
