Job Title: Manager - Social Media, ORM & Digital Content
Department / Function: Corporate Communications
Location: New Delhi (Pan-India responsibilities)
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Associate Director - Corporate Communications
Functional reporting / oversight: Chief Communications & CSR Officer
Role Objective
To plan, manage and execute the firm's social media, online reputation management (ORM), and digital content strategy to enhance institutional reputation, thought leadership, employer brand and digital credibility, while ensuring strict compliance with Bar Council of India (BCI) regulations, client confidentiality obligations and internal brand governance standards.
Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRAs)
1. Social Media Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement a firmwide social media strategy aligned with corporate communications objectives.
- Define platformspecific content frameworks and usage guidelines.
- Establish and manage social media policies, approval processes and escalation protocols.
- Ensure full compliance with BCI norms, professional conduct standards and internal risk policies.
2. Content Strategy & Planning
- Own the annual and quarterly social media and digital content plans.
- Curate, commission and edit thought leadership driven content including legal updates, insights, leadership perspectives and firm announcements.
- Translate complex legal subject matter into accurate, professional and accessible digital content.
- Maintain content consistency across platforms and practices.
3. Online Reputation Management (ORM)
- Monitor social media platforms, search environments and online media for firm related mentions.
- Identify reputational risks, misinformation or sensitive issues proactively.
- Coordinate issue management and response strategies with senior communications leadership.
- Maintain and periodically update digital crisis communication protocols.
4. SEO & Owned Media Integration
- Support SEO objectives through content planning and social amplification.
- Ensure integration between the firm's website, publications, insights and social media channels.
- Track social media contribution to organic visibility and brand authority.
5. Leadership & Partner Visibility Support
- Enable compliant and professional digital presence for partners and practice leaders.
- Support authored posts, quotes, event visibility and thought leadership amplification.
- Advise stakeholders on permissible and appropriate digital engagement.
6. Employer Branding Support
- Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to strengthen employer branding through digital channels.
- Highlight culture, values, diversity, learning initiatives and CSR activities in a professional manner.
- Support recruitment narratives without promotional or solicitation based messaging.
7. Analytics & Reporting
- Define and track social media performance metrics.
- Prepare regular performance dashboards and insights for senior leadership.
- Use data insights to refine content strategy and platform effectiveness.
8. Team & Vendor Management
- Manage internal social media and digital content resources.
- Coordinate with external agencies, ORM partners and creative vendors.
- Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards and brand guidelines.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing or Law (mandatory)
- Postgraduate qualification in Communications, Digital Marketing or MBA (preferred)
Experience:
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in social media, digital communications or content strategy
- Experience in professional services, legal, consulting, financial services or other regulated sectors preferred
- Proven experience working with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders
