Associate Director -Insurance Sales & BD

Role location : Bangalore/ Gurgaon About the Role This role is critical because the Sector Head dedicates only 20% of their time to this function. You will act as the "right hand" to the Insurance Sector Head, driving the implementation of the business plan and strategic growth initiatives. Required Skills • Background: Strong experience in Business Development (BD), sales, or marketing. • Sector Knowledge: Experience working directly in the Insurance sector or in a B2B environment serving Insurance clients. • Core Skills: Implementing sales/BD best practices (account planning, pipeline management), program/change management, and strategic project implementation. • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Power BI. Responsibilities • Support Direction and Leadership (30%): • Manage Insurance sector calls autonomously. • Build working relationships across EMA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and Global teams. • Identify growth opportunities (corridors) for KIG. • Maintain a register of actions and ensure accountability. • Support Priority and Growth Accounts (30%): • Lead preparation for key account calls. • Collaborate with country leads to gather data and insights. • Develop joint business plans with alliance partners. • Help maximize service delivery to key accounts. • Voice in the Market (20%): • Understand key sector themes and regulatory developments. • Drive the creation of webinars and whitepapers. • Promote brand and priority solutions. • Budget, Monitoring, and Reporting (20%): • Convene annual strategy meetings. • Provide monthly sector dashboards to track performance. • Maintain governance on budget spending. • Produce monthly/quarterly reports for the KIG Executive (Exco). Qualifications • Education: Degree level qualified. Preferred Skills • Advantageous: Experience living or working outside one’s native country.
