Senior Murex Mx.2.11 BA - Commodities

Language: English Location: Bangalore, India Employment Type: Permanent Description: We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Commodities domain expertise and hands-on Murex MX.2.11 experience to support and deliver front-to-back initiatives across trading, risk, and operations. This role sits at the intersection of business requirements, functional solution design, and testing/validation, partnering closely with Front Office (Trading/Structuring), Market Risk, Product Control, Operations, and Technology teams. Requirements: • 7+ years experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets, with strong delivery exposure in trading and risk environments. • Proven hands-on experience with Murex MX.2.11 (functional BA, configuration/support, or project delivery). • Strong Commodities knowledge (one or more): Energy (Oil/Gas/Power), Metals, Agriculture, including swaps, options, forwards, and/or physical trading concepts. • Understanding of key commodities concepts: curves/forward curves, fixings, pricing references, vol surfaces • (where relevant), and lifecycle events. • Strong BA toolkit: requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, process mapping ,functional specs/user stories, and stakeholder sign-offs. • Solid testing background: writing test scenarios/cases, supporting SIT/UAT, defect triage, and validation of fixes/releases. • Comfortable with data analysis: SQL and reconciliation skills; familiarity with Unix/Linux is a plus. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and deliver business and functional analysis for Commodities initiatives on Murex MX.2.11 (change + BAU as required). • Gather and document requirements for commodities workflows: trade capture, lifecycle events, pricing/valuation inputs, confirmations, settlements, and controls. • Perform gap analysis and propose solutions aligned to Murex capabilities and target operating processes. • Define requirements for market data (curves, fixings, indices, forward curves, vol surfaces where applicable) and support validation of valuation impacts. • Create and execute test cases, support SIT/UAT, manage defect triage, and ensure evidence-based sign-offs. • Support investigations and reconciliations (valuation/risk/P&L/process breaks),documenting findings and driving issues to closure with Technology. • Coordinate across FO/MO/BO stakeholders to ensure front-to-back alignment, operational readiness, and stable • production outcomes.
