Senior SAP PP–QM Consultant (with LIMS Integration – LabVantage)

Job Title Senior SAP PP–QM Consultant (with LIMS Integration – LabVantage) Location: Bengaluru & Pune Employment Type: Full‑time Experience Range 6–12 years total; minimum 4+ years in SAP PP/QM and 1+ end‑to‑end implementations (including at least one LIMS integration, preferably LabVantage). Role Summary We are seeking a hands‑on SAP PP–QM consultant to design, build, and support manufacturing and quality processes, with direct integration to LabVantage LIMS. The role spans discrete/process manufacturing scenarios, quality management across the value chain, and plant‑floor integrations (e.g., weighing/scale systems such as OneWeigh, MES, and lab instruments). You will collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and lab teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Delivery • Lead workshops to gather requirements for Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) across make‑to‑stock/make‑to‑order, process orders, and master recipe/PI sheets (where applicable). • Design and configure SAP PP: Master data (Material Master, BOMs, Routings/Master Recipes, Work Centers/Resources, Production Versions), MRP, capacity planning, shop‑floor execution, confirmations, backflushing, batch management, and serialisation (if needed). • Design and configure SAP QM: Inspection types (GR, in‑process, final), MICs, sampling procedures, results recording, usage decision, quality notifications, stability studies (nice‑to‑have), and quality certificates (CoA). • Drive LIMS integration (LabVantage) end‑to‑end—process mapping, data model alignment, interface design, test strategy, and cutover: • Typical objects: inspection lots, sample management, test results, spec limits, CoA data, and attachments. • Integration methods: IDoc, BAPI/RFC, PI/PO or CPI, REST/JSON APIs, and file‑based where applicable. • Collaborate with PM/MM/WM/EWM/SD teams to ensure cross‑module consistency (e.g., GR quality, batch determination, stock postings, returns, rework). • Prepare functional specs for RICEFW objects; guide ABAP/integration teams on mappings, error handling, and performance. Nice‑to‑Have / Preferred • Experience with OneWeigh/scale or other weighing systems; OPC/ISA‑95/MES integrations; shop‑floor data capture (RF/barcode). • SAP PM exposure (maintenance‑quality touchpoints), and MM/SD for upstream/downstream quality impacts. • GxP validation experience (CSV/CSA), audit support, and electronic records/signatures processes. • S/4HANA experience (Fiori apps for PP/QM, embedded analytics). • Knowledge of APIs in LabVantage and basic lab instrument data flows. • Background in chemical/pharma/FMCG/food & beverages/industrial manufacturing. Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s/master’s in engineering, Science, or related field. • SAP certification in PP or QM (preferred). • Any LIMS (LabVantage) certification or formal training is a plus.
