As a Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing costs to support the financial health of the company. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and reporting variances between actual and budgeted costs - Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management - Analyzing cost sheets, including direct and indirect costs - Supporting cost-saving initiatives and profitability improvements You will also be responsible for conducting inventory valuation for raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods. This will involve coordinating with production for accurate stock counts and valuation, as well as assisting in establishing cost structures for inventory management. Ensuring adherence to cost accounting standards and internal controls will be another key aspect of your role. You will support internal and statutory audits and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain the integrity of financial data. In terms of reporting, you will prepare cost trend analysis and variance reports, provide departmental cost performance reports, and assist senior management in making strategic cost-related decisions. Your financial insights will be valuable for pricing, margin analysis, and project costing, as well as evaluating profitability across product lines and services. Identifying areas for enhancement in cost accounting practices and implementing best practices in cost tracking and financial reporting will be part of your continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: - Typically CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance / B.Com with relevant experience Skills: - Costing - Financial Analysis - Inventory Valuation - Cost variance analysis - SAP Hana Experience: - 2.00-6.00 Years As a Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing costs to support the financial health of the company.
