Company Description Chowgule Lavgan Shiprepair Pvt Ltd operates an ultra-modern shipyard located on the West Coast of India, 70 nautical miles from Bombay High. The company, part of the century-old Chowgule enterprise, specializes in commercial ship repairs, defense ship repairs for the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy, rig repairs, and EPC construction projects. Services offered include dry docking, refits, conversions, fabrication, and load-out operations. The company aims to deliver high-quality solutions to the maritime and defense sectors. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Public Relations Officer, based in Ratnagiri. The chosen candidate will be responsible for crafting and distributing press releases, managing relationships with media representatives, and overseeing communication strategies. They will develop and implement public relations campaigns to enhance the company's brand image and ensure clear and effective communication with stakeholders and the public. 1. Land Acquisition a. Experience in land acquisition processes. b. Coordinating with advocates for the preparation of land purchase documents. c. Visiting the Registrar Office and relevant government departments. d. Preparing documentation for court matters in consultation with legal counsel. e. Conducting land surveys and demarcating the boundaries of project site land and adjoining areas. 2. Public Relations a. Coordinating and maintaining healthy relations with local villagers. b. Liaising with government authorities. c. Addressing project-related issues and interacting with the local community. d. Attending meetings related to permissions, resolving local issues, work contract matters, and handling demands. 3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) a. Preparing CSR plans for the organization and proposing corresponding budgets. b. Implementing CSR activities in nearby villages in areas such as village infrastructure development, educational assistance, social welfare programs, and medical support. Qualifications & Competencies • Graduate in any discipline. • Understanding of local politics and community dynamics. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Good negotiation abilities. • Positive and proactive attitude.
