Job Description: Accountant (GST, TDS & Government Liaisoning) Position: Accountant Experience: 2–5 years (or specify as needed) Location: [Your Location] Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant who is proficient in GST, TDS, and related statutory compliances. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling return filings, coordinating with government authorities, preparing documentation, and managing liaison work with GST, TDS, Courts, and other departments. Key Responsibilities • Independently prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) • Prepare and file TDS returns, challans, and related compliance • Handle GST/TDS reconciliations, notices, replies, and assessments • Manage liaisoning work with GST department, Income Tax/TDS department, Courts, and other Government authorities • Prepare and maintain accounting records, vouchers, invoices, and ledgers • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for compliance matters • Handle departmental visits, queries, follow-ups, and ensure timely resolution • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GST & TDS rules, amendments, and notifications • Support general accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, MIS reporting, and audit documentation Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting or related field • Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance • Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally/Busy/other ERP) • Ability to draft replies, handle assessments, and communicate with authorities • Good understanding of accounting principles and documentation • Strong communication and follow-up skills • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Preferred Skills • Experience handling court documentation or compliance matters • Knowledge of IT Return filing (optional but preferred) • Ability to multitask and manage field/liaison work efficiently Salary As per industry standards / Based on experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
