Principal Engineer – Client Solutions (Cloud & AI)

Role Description We are seeking a Principal Engineer – Client Solutions who can lead high-impact customer engagements while remaining deeply hands-on in architecture and engineering. This role blends technical excellence, customer leadership, and delivery ownership. You will be responsible for designing scalable cloud-native solutions, guiding engineering teams, and serving as the trusted technical advisor for our customers. This is not a pure management role. You will lead from the front. Customer-Facing Technical Leadership • Lead architecture and technical discovery sessions with customers • Translate business objectives into scalable cloud and AI solutions • Present solution designs, trade-offs, cost implications, and roadmaps • Act as the primary technical escalation point during delivery • Build long-term technical trust with client stakeholders Architecture & Solution Design • Design cloud-native, distributed systems across AWS (primary), Azure / GCP (bonus) • Architect serverless, microservices, event-driven and SaaS multi-tenant platforms • Embed security, cost optimization, performance and reliability best practices • Lead architecture reviews and enforce engineering standards Hands-On Engineering • Contribute to production-grade code when required • Review code for quality, scalability and security • Guide implementation using : • AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Cognito, ECS / EKS) • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) • CI / CD pipelines • Backend systems (Python or Nodejs preferred) • Generative AI : Agentic, Prompt Management, ML / Ops • Support troubleshooting, performance tuning and optimization Team Enablement • Mentor engineers and guide technical decision-making • Run technical standups and architecture reviews • Drive technical clarity and documentation discipline • Elevate overall engineering maturity Delivery Ownership • Ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope • Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies • Drive reusable frameworks and accelerators across projects Qualifications • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent platforms; experience with computing, networking, and storage technologies • Strong background in AI / ML, including deploying AI models, working with natural language processing, and data analysis • Expertise in Software Development, including coding, debugging, and implementing cloud-native architectures • Knowledge of Automation tools and frameworks for optimizing infrastructure and processes • Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior team members, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation • Experience with compliance or security frameworks in cloud environments is a plus • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields Experience • 7+ years in cloud-native engineering • 2+ years in technical leadership role • Strong customer-facing experience • Experience working in consulting / services environment preferred
