Oracle DBA (L2 Support)

Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (L2 Support) Experience: 3–5 Years Location: Chennai / Bengaluru / Coimbatore Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 3–5 years of experience to manage and support Oracle database environments. The candidate will be responsible for providing L2 operational support, ensuring high availability, performance, and stability of production and non-production databases while adhering to SLA and security standards. Primary Skills: • Hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration • Experience with Oracle 11g / 12c / 18c / 19c • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix servers • Experience with RMAN backup and recovery • Basic knowledge of database performance tuning • Experience in database monitoring and troubleshooting Key Responsibilities: • Provide L2 operational support for Oracle database environments • Manage and maintain Oracle databases across production and non-production systems • Perform daily database health checks and monitoring • Identify and troubleshoot database issues proactively • Manage RMAN backup, restore, and recovery operations • Analyze AWR and ASH reports for basic performance tuning • Manage tablespaces, database users, roles, and access privileges • Support database patching, DR drills, and failover activities • Handle incident management, service requests, and problem management • Coordinate with L1, L3, application, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution • Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and shift handover documentation Required Skills: • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Good understanding of database architecture • Experience working in SLA-driven production support environments • Good communication and collaboration skills
