In the Institutional Portfolio Operations (IPO) group at Connor Clark & Lunn Financial Group, you will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in the investment success of various institutional clients. As a member of the Corporate Actions team, you will have the opportunity to enhance your research, analytical, and problem-solving skills for future growth and development within CC&L. • *Key Responsibilities:** - Communicate with custodians, portfolio managers, and key personnel to investigate and resolve corporate action cash and holding discrepancies. - Gather and synthesize corporate actions information from diverse sources such as Bloomberg, investor relations, and custodian notifications. - Process various corporate actions accurately on portfolio holdings using the firm's portfolio accounting system (APX). - Participate in operational projects focusing on automation, efficiency, and scalability of IPOs services. • *Qualifications Required:** - Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. - 3-5 years of overall experience, with at least 2 years in Corporate Actions. - Previous exposure to multiple asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives). - Proficiency in analyzing large data sets using Excel. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. - Proven stakeholder management skills in building effective relationships. - CFA or similar qualification is considered an asset. - Programming skills (SQL, Python) are advantageous. - Experience with both mandatory and voluntary events processing is beneficial. - Background in Global Markets and knowledge of trade execution and settlement are advantages.
