As a Senior Manager Human Resources at Copeland, based in Atit, India, you will play a crucial role as a strategic partner to the site leadership team. Your responsibilities will involve driving people strategies to enhance operational excellence and promote workforce engagement. Your hands-on approach to HR operations will ensure compliance with Indian labor laws while aligning with global HR strategies. Here are the key responsibilities:
- Partner with site leadership to understand business strategies and priorities, translating them into actionable HR strategies.
- Collaborate with global Centers of Excellence (COEs) and People Services to deliver the Annual People Plan, ensuring alignment with global HR goals and local manufacturing needs.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives tailored to the unique challenges of a remote manufacturing workforce.
- Support leaders with coaching, talent development, and succession planning to enhance leadership capability and team effectiveness.
- Champion performance management processes to foster a high-performance culture.
- Lead site workforce planning and resource management for optimal staffing levels.
- Collaborate with ER COE on employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes in compliance with Indian labor regulations.
- Promote inclusion and wellbeing initiatives, leveraging global programs adapted to the local context.
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven professional HR experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably managing a remote and/or unionized site.
- Demonstrated success in driving transformation and change in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Ability to function as a genuine business partner with a growth mindset.
- Exposure to global HR operating models and collaboration with COEs and People Services.
- International experience outside India is advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on HRBP/Strategic HR roles.
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and employment practices with awareness of APAC cultural context.
- Expertise in HR processes including performance management, organization design, talent & succession planning, employee engagement, total rewards, and wellbeing.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading HR projects and utilizing data-driven decision-making.
