As a SQL Server Database Administrator with 6+ years of experience, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - High degree of hands-on experience in MSSQL, Oracle, and Cassandra databases is a must. - Develop and maintain architecture for MSSQL, Oracle, and Cassandra databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. - Analyze and optimize database performance, including query optimization, index management, and memory tuning to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage. - Utilize Reporting Services, SSAS, SSIS, and replication as required. - Implement principles and practices of data security, integrity, backup, and recovery processes. - Manage multi-server SQL Server enterprise supporting 24/7 operations and be adept at presenting ideas, meeting project goals, and advising on improving existing and future system architecture. - Demonstrate knowledge of relational and non-relational database design, structure, operating principles, and characteristics of programming and software installation database management principles and techniques, including cloud and hybrid environments. - Experience with cloud services like AWS and Microsoft Azure is a plus. - Proven experience with backups, restores, and recovery models. - Proficiency in High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for MS SQL Server. - Working knowledge of source control systems such as Git or GitLabs. - Familiarity with database warehousing and business intelligence. - Exposure to other T-SQL database engines such as PostgresSQL and MySQL is advantageous.
