Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Apache Solr Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable search solutions using Apache Solr. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in implementing enterprise search platforms, optimizing search performance, and integrating Solr with web applications and backend systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop search solutions using Apache Solr • Configure and manage Solr cores, collections, and schema design • Implement indexing, querying, faceting, and ranking features • Optimize search performance, relevancy tuning, and query response time • Integrate Solr with applications built using Java, REST APIs, or other technologies • Perform SolrCloud setup, replication, sharding, and clustering • Monitor and troubleshoot Solr instances in production environments • Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams • Maintain documentation and follow best practices for search architecture Required Skills • Strong experience with Apache Solr and search engine concepts • Good understanding of Apache Lucene • Experience with SolrCloud, ZooKeeper, and distributed search architecture • Proficiency in Java and RESTful web services • Experience with indexing large datasets and performance tuning • Knowledge of query parsers, analyzers, tokenizers, and relevancy scoring • Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting • Experience with version control systems like Git Preferred Qualifications • 2–5+ years of experience in enterprise search implementation • Experience with big data tools like Hadoop (optional) • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines • Experience in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an added advantage
