Junior Wordpress Developer

A Junior WordPress Developer builds, customizes, and maintains WordPress sites, focusing on theme development and customisation, performance optimization, and responsive design. Hands on working skills with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS to troubleshoot bugs and assist in launching functional, user-friendly websites. Key skills include Git familiarity, On page SEO, and debugging, with 0–1 year of experience required. Key Responsibilities • Website Development: Develop and customize WordPress themes often utilizing page builders like Divi Builder • Front-End Implementation: Convert PSD/mockups into functional, responsive HTML/CSS pages. • Maintenance & Updates: Perform regular plugin, theme, and WordPress core updates, along with troubleshooting bugs. • Optimization: Improve website performance, load times, and SEO, ensuring cross-browser compatibility. • Collaboration: Work with design and development teams to ensure high-quality, pixel-perfect results. Required Skills and Qualifications • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL. • Experience: Proven experience (often 6 months–1 year) with WordPress CMS and customization. • Tools: Familiarity with Git, debugging tools (e.g., Chrome Inspector), and basic undertsanding of web page designs • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and good communication skills. • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
