Job Description CSA – Middle Social Science Teacher Purpose of Role To deliver engaging and inquiry-based Social Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary framework, fostering critical thinking, global awareness, research skills, and analytical understanding among students. Key Responsibilities: Academic Responsibilities Teach Social Science subjects such as History, Geography, and Global Perspectives (as per school allocation). Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Cambridge learning objectives and assessment standards. Promote inquiry-based learning, discussion, debate, and project work. Develop lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, and assessment tools. Ensure timely syllabus completion. Assessment & Evaluation Conduct formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge guidelines. Evaluate assignments, research projects, and written responses. Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records. Offer remedial and enrichment support where necessary. Student Development Encourage critical thinking, research, and analytical skills. Promote global citizenship, cultural awareness, and responsible participation. Support participation in debates, Model UN, exhibitions, and related activities. Collaboration & Coordination Participate in curriculum planning and departmental meetings. Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary learning projects. Attend Cambridge training programs and professional development workshops.
