Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Cybersecurity Mentor Intern (CMI 01) | SOC Trainer. The selected individual will mentor aspiring cybersecurity professionals, develop and deliver security operations curriculum, and provide practical hands-on training in areas such as threat analysis, incident response, and security monitoring. Key responsibilities include developing training resources, guiding learners in cybersecurity best practices and tools, and assisting in real-life security simulation exercises. Collaboration with the team to refine training modules and address learner queries will also be a part of daily priorities. Qualifications • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, malware detection, and incident response procedures. • Proficiency with Security Operations Center (SOC) tools and technologies like SIEM systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and threat intelligence platforms. • Effective communication and mentorship abilities, including training delivery, public speaking, and the capability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. • Experience in designing and developing cybersecurity course content, creating simulation scenarios, and guiding hands-on training exercises. • Educational or professional experience in cybersecurity, information systems, or a related technical field. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus. • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with an ability to work independently in a remote environment. • Passion for cybersecurity, continuous learning, and helping others build their careers in the field.
