Job Title: WooCommerce / WordPress Developer Department: Technology / Web Development Location: Onsite Employment Type: Full-time / Contract About the Role We are looking for an experienced WooCommerce / WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into high-performing digital solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesWordPress Development • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. • Build fully responsive and SEO-friendly websites. • Perform regular updates, security enhancements, and performance optimization. • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRMs, and other tools. WooCommerce Development • Set up, customize, and maintain WooCommerce-based eCommerce stores. • Configure product types, variations, shipping rules, tax settings, and promotions. • Implement custom checkout flows, payment gateway integrations, and automation. • Optimize store performance, speed, and user experience. Technical & Collaborative Duties • Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs or performance issues. • Work closely with designers, content creators, and product teams. • Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. • Maintain clear documentation of custom work and system processes. Required Skills & Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in WordPress development (themes, plugins, custom coding). • Strong proficiency in: • PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 • MySQL database management • WordPress hooks, filters, WP_Query • Hands-on experience with WooCommerce customization. • Familiarity with page builders: Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg. • Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab. • Knowledge of website speed optimization, caching, and security best practices. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) • Experience with REST APIs & JSON. • Knowledge of SEO and core web vitals. • Familiarity with CI/CD or deployment pipelines. • Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields). • Exposure to hosting environments (cPanel, Cloudflare, AWS, etc.). Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. • Excellent attention to detail and time management. • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
