MIS Data Analyst - Revenue Cycle & Debtors Control

Reports to: Manager Finance/Billing Location: Kolkata/West Bengal Industry: Healthcare / Hospital Job Description: As a MIS Data Analyst (Revenue Cycle & Debtors Control) for a hospital dealing with government schemes like WBHS, CGHS, and ESIC, your role is to manage Hospital Dues & Debtors Control for tracking, analysing, and reporting on outstanding payments from clients to ensure revenue integrity. This role requires a strong mix of financial, analytical, and technical skills to manage revenue cycles in an healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities: • Debtors Management & Ageing Analysis: Track and monitor credit patients, corporate and PSU accounts to ensure timely collections. Analyse ageing reports for debtors to identify overdue payments and high-risk accounts. • Reconciliation: Periodically reconcile the hospital's ledger to identify outstanding dues. Manage the outstanding debtor ledger, specifically focusing on long-pending claims reconciliation. • MIS Reporting: Prepare, validate, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports regarding outstanding receivables, revenue, and collection efficiency on the status of pending claims to management. • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analysing Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports to identify high-risk, long-outstanding debts. • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential revenue leakage due to non-admissible charges or coding errors. Required Qualifications & Skills • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field with proven track record • Experience: 2–5 years of experience as an MIS Analyst or data analysis within a finance or healthcare environment • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse financial data and generate insights by using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, macros, advance MS excel etc. • Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of advance MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, advance MS excel, database handling & specialised web search) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Govt. Portal handling. • Knowledge: Deep understanding of WBHS, CGHS rates, and ESIC billing guidelines. • Soft Skills: Good communication & presentation skills.
