Billing Specialist - Netsuite & OpenAir

We’re currently looking for a Billing Specialist (Night Shift – U.S. East Coast Hours, Independent Contractor) to join our Operations / Finance team (Remote) . This role is structured as an hourly independent contractor position aligned to U.S. Eastern Time business hours (night shift). What You’ll Do You’ll play a key role in helping our business operate smoothly and effectively. Your day-to-day may include: • Preparing, reviewing, and issuing bi-weekly client invoices • Reviewing employee expense reports and timesheets as required • Producing invoice tracking, WIP, aged A/R, and expense reports • Processing cash receipt applications • Setting up new projects in financial systems • Maintaining expense documentation and supporting billing inquiries • Performing reporting, analysis, and special projects supporting finance leadership What You’ll Bring You’ll play a key role in helping our business operate smoothly and effectively. Your day-to-day may include: • 3–5 years of relevant billing, finance operations, or accounting support experience in the professional services industry (consulting, staffing, legal, engineering, or similar) • Experience with both NetSuite and OpenAir is required • Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with financial data • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities • Ability to read and interpret agreements and financial documentation • Strong organizational and communication skills Why Join DLA?
