Job Title: OT Staff Nurse (Operation Theatre Nurse) Experience: 1+ Years Location: Chennai Education: B.Sc / PB.Sc Nursing OR Diploma (GNM) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OT Staff Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during operations, maintaining sterile environments, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care. The candidate should demonstrate strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in high-pressure situations. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and maintain operation theatre equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies. - Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical teams during procedures. - Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols. - Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments. - Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to emergencies during surgery. - Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation. - Ensure proper handling, counting, and disposal of surgical instruments and materials. - Coordinate with CSSD and other departments for OT requirements. - Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and quality protocols. Required Qualifications - B.Sc / PB.Sc Nursing OR Diploma (GNM) with valid Nursing Registration. - Minimum 1+ years of experience as Operation Theatre Staff Nurse(Multi-specialty preferred). - Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and OT protocols. - Basic Life Support (BLS) / ACLS certification preferred.
