About the Role:

We are looking for a driven, student-focused, and result-oriented Business Development Executive to handle core counselling and calling responsibilities for our UPSC online classroom programs.

This is a pure individual contributor role, focused on student counselling, follow-ups, and enrollments. The role requires end-to-end ownership of sales conversations with serious UPSC aspirants and parents, strong objection-handling ability, and consistent performance in a premium EdTech/B2C sales environment.

This position does not involve any managerial or team-handling responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Generation

- Handle inbound and outbound counselling calls for UPSC online classroom programs.

- Convert qualified and high-intent leads into confirmed enrollments.

- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly individual revenue and enrollment targets.

- Pitch UPSC programs effectively by aligning program structure, faculty strength, preparation roadmap, and outcomes with student goals.

- Drive high-value conversions through disciplined follow-ups and effective objection handling.

Student Counselling & Relationship Management

- Understand student background, preparation level, eligibility, and UPSC exam requirements before counselling.

- Provide need-based, honest guidance to aspirants and parents.

- Maintain timely and structured follow-ups with high-intent leads until closure.

- Build trust and credibility by addressing pricing, comparison, and outcome-related concerns professionally.

Process & CRM Management

- Maintain accurate and real-time updates on CRM tools such as LeadSquared, including call logs and follow-ups.

- Follow defined sales and counselling workflows with strict CRM hygiene.

- Track personal performance metrics such as calls, conversions, revenue, and lead aging.

Feedback & Coordination

- Share regular feedback related to student expectations, pricing sensitivity, competitor offerings, and market trends in the UPSC segment.

- Highlight recurring objections and counselling challenges to reporting managers.

Mandatory Requirements

- Bilingual Proficiency: Must be a native speaker of at least one of the following regional languages: Bengali, Marathi, Odia, Kannada, Telugu, or Dogri/Kashmiri, along with professional fluency in English.

- Sales Grit: Resilience to handle rejections and the drive to meet aggressive daily calling targets.

- Mandatory Setup: A personal laptop and stable internet connection are non-negotiable for this remote role.

What We’re Looking For

- 2–3 years of experience in EdTech or B2C sales, preferably in UPSC or long-duration academic programs.

- Proven experience in core calling and counselling roles with consistent closures.

- Strong understanding of the UPSC aspirant decision-making journey.

- Comfortable working with CRM systems, calling tools, and Excel/Google Sheets.

- Excellent communication in Marathi, persuasion, and objection-handling skills.

- Ability to perform in a target-driven and accountability-focused environment.

Preferred Attributes

- Prior experience counselling UPSC aspirants.

- Strong follow-up discipline and confidence in handling price and comparison objections.

- Mature counselling approach with a student-first mindset.

- High ownership and consistency in individual performance.
