Delphi Developer – Advantage Database Server (ADS)

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Delphi Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Advantage Database Server (ADS) to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise- grade desktop and client-server applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with product, QA, and support teams to enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability. Key Responsibilities • Application Development & Maintenance • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Delphi (Object Pascal) • Enhance and support applications integrated with Advantage Database Server (ADS) • Perform bug fixing, code optimization, and performance tuning • Ensure high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code • Database & Backend Management • Design and optimize ADS database schemas, tables, indexes, and queries Work With • Advantage SQL • Data dictionary • Stored procedures and triggers (where applicable) • Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery strategies • Performance & Optimization • Analyze and resolve database and application performance bottlenecks • Optimize memory usage, threading, and transaction handling • Handle large datasets efficiently in multi-user environments Integration & Migration • Integrate Delphi applications with third-party APIs and tools • Support data migration and version upgrades • Assist in modernization or refactoring of legacy Delphi/ADS systems • Testing & Quality Assurance • Perform unit testing and system testing • Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects • Ensure applications meet business and compliance requirements Deployment & Support • Assist in deployment and release activities • Provide production support and root cause analysis • Prepare technical documentation and release notes • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions • Provide estimates and status updates on assigned tasks Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills • Strong experience in Delphi (Object Pascal) • Hands-on experience with Advantage Database Server (ADS) Solid Understanding Of • Client-server architecture • SQL and database optimization • Windows application development Experience With • Legacy system modernization • REST APIs or web services Reporting tools • Knowledge of Windows services and background processes Experience & Education • 5–10+ years of relevant experience in Delphi and ADS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred) Skills: advantage database server,delphi,data,integration
