Senior Back End Data Engineer

Salary: $114,000 - 166,400 per year Requirements: • Extensive senior-level experience in data engineering utilizing Python and PySpark. • Proficient hands-on experience with AWS big data tools and services, including EMR. • Competency in constructing APIs and batch data pipelines at scale. • Strong backend engineering skills with Python or Golang and AWS. • Proven experience in establishing new cloud infrastructure and delivering software rapidly. • Familiarity with front-end frameworks, such as Angular or React (preferred). • Experience with AI developer tools like Claude or Windsurf to enhance productivity (preferred). • Previous involvement in a similar environment or large-scale financial platforms (preferred). Responsibilities: • Design and execute an abstraction layer for data retained with an external source, ensuring seamless future migrations. • Construct and sustain APIs and batch data flows to enhance customer experiences and support downstream users. • Develop and refine data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and AWS big data frameworks. • Establish and secure backend services and cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing AWS. • Deliver software increments swiftly with dependable testing, monitoring, and documentation practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Personal Loans experiences into the broader organizational ecosystem. • Utilize AI development tools to enhance code quality, efficiency, and maintainability. • Contribute to best practices surrounding data engineering, security, and cost-effectiveness.
