DevOps Engineer (Mid-level)

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (5 - 6 Years) Location: Remote (India) with occasional client visits if required Terms: Contract-to-Hire – Hourly (as required) Number of Position: 1 Requirements: Ensure standardized, compliant, and scalable DevOps practices across the organization. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support and scale enterprise-grade infrastructure across mission-critical systems. This role will focus on automation, governance, reliability, security compliance, and operational excellence within a structured, multi-team environment. You will partner with Architecture, Security, Development, and IT Operations teams to ensure standardized, compliant, and scalable DevOps practices across the organization. Strategic Objectives • Standardize CI/CD frameworks across business units • Improve system reliability and reduce incident frequency • Enforce security, compliance, and governance policies • Drive cloud cost optimization and operational efficiency • Strengthen automation maturity across infrastructure and deployment Key Responsibilities: Enterprise CI/CD & Release Management • Design and govern enterprise-wide CI/CD frameworks • Implement controlled release management processes • Integrate security scans and compliance checks into pipelines • Support audit-ready documentation and traceability Cloud & Infrastructure Governance • Manage multi-environment cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure &GCP) • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) with version control standards • Enforce tagging, access control, and cost governance policies • Support hybrid or multi-cloud strategies where applicable Reliability Engineering & Monitoring • Implement enterprise monitoring and alerting systems • Improve SLAs, SLOs, and incident response processes • Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews • Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives Security & Compliance • Embed Dev Sec Ops principles across pipelines • Implement IAM, encryption, and secure configuration standards • Ensure alignment with regulatory and internal compliance requirements Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Architecture, Security, and Development leadership • Define and enforce DevOps best practices organization-wide • Mentor junior engineers and promote automation culture Required Skills and Qualifications: Required • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering • Strong experience with enterprise CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) • Cloud platform expertise (AWS & Azure & GCP) • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) • Docker and Kubernetes production experience • Strong knowledge of enterprise security and networking Preferred • Experience in regulated industries • Exposure to multi-region or hybrid-cloud architectures • Experience implementing SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) frameworks
