Senior Manager, Mainframe Innovation Engineering Join to apply for the Senior Manager, Mainframe Innovation Engineering role at Ensono We are looking for a Senior Manager, Mainframe and Hybrid Platform Engineering to join our team and oversee the design, build, testing and lifecycle of integrated mainframe and hybrid cloud offerings. You will lead a global team of engineers and developers who are responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure applications and managed services that leverage the power of modern, cloud-connected technologies. You will collaborate with Product Managers, business stakeholders, Operations, and external partners to deliver the engineering in line with the overall Product Management vision, roadmap and priorities. Responsibilities • Manage the mainframe and hybrid platform engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation • Deliver the required engineering builds in support of the product roadmap, ensuring what is built meets the intended client experience and acceptance criteria defined by Product Management • Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and policies for development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle • Ensure the reliability, availability, security, and scalability of the offerings, using tools and methodologies such as DevOps and automation • Lead the evaluation and testing of mainframe and hybrid platform technologies to inform the product roadmap and product release scoping • Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in mainframe and hybrid cloud domains, and identify opportunities for innovation and optimization • Communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and customers on initiatives, issues, and solutions Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • At least 10 years of experience in mainframe engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role • Expert knowledge of mainframe architectures, technologies, configurations, and best practices • Strong skills in mainframe and distributed programming languages, such as COBOL, JCL, Java, Python, REXX, C#, etc., and a good understanding of standard mainframe system telemetry outputs • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving and prioritization skills • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and deadlines • Proven track record of engineering services or digital offerings that have scaled to meet customer needs • Understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks and standards (ISO, NIST, PCI, HIPAA) especially related to mainframe • Certifications in mainframe and/or cloud technologies are a plus • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform Shift Timings: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST Seniority level • Director Employment type • Full-time Job function • Engineering and Information Technology Industries • IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Ensono.
