SAP Data Migration Engineer

Job Title: SAP Data Migration Specialist (SD/MM/FICO/PM/CS) Experience: 6–10 Years Location: Remote Employment Type: Fulltime Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Data Migration Specialist with strong expertise in executing end-to-end data migration projects across SAP modules including SD, CS, PM, MM, and FICO . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA implementations, with deep knowledge of data structures, migration tools, and data transformation processes. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, technical proficiency in migration tools, and the ability to collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and seamless data transition. Key Responsibilities Data Migration Strategy & Planning Define and implement comprehensive data migration strategies for SAP implementations and upgrades. Analyze legacy system data and map to SAP data structures. Identify data gaps and recommend remediation strategies. Data Extraction, Transformation & Loading (ETL) Develop and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Perform data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks. Ensure data consistency across SD, CS, PM, MM, and FICO modules. SAP Migration Tools & Technical Execution Configure and utilize SAP migration tools such as LSMW , BDC , and other upload programs. Develop custom data conversion programs/scripts where required (ABAP knowledge is a plus). Conduct data uploads, mock cycles, and cutover activities. Testing & Validation Perform unit testing, integration testing, and reconciliation of migrated data. Troubleshoot and resolve data migration errors. Ensure data meets business and compliance standards. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with functional consultants and business users. Prepare detailed documentation including mapping sheets, data templates, and process guides. Provide training and post-migration support to client teams. Ensure adherence to data privacy, governance, and security standards. Required Technical Skills Strong experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Hands-on expertise in LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) and BDC Strong understanding of SAP tables and data structures in: SD (Sales & Distribution) CS (Customer Service) PM (Plant Maintenance) MM (Materials Management) FICO (Finance & Controlling) Proficiency in SQL and database systems Experience with ETL processes and tools Advanced MS Excel skills (data manipulation, validation, transformation) Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager Preferred / Good to Have Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration projects ABAP programming for data conversion Knowledge of SAP HANA Exposure to data governance and data quality management tools Industry exposure in manufacturing, sales, or material management domains Required Qualifications 6–10 years of experience in SAP data migration projects Proven experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementation/migration projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Interested Candidates can share their Profiles to
