Data Engineer Architect

Job Title: Lead Data Engineer / Architect Experience: 10–12 Years Location: Remote Notice Period: Immediate Joiner or max 15days Role Objective We are seeking a seasoned and highly experienced Lead Data Engineer / Architect to drive the design and implementation of a modern Data Lakehouse for a large-scale international financial services program. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in the Financial Services Logical Data Model and strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services. This role will be responsible for transforming raw financial data into a structured, high-performance Lakehouse architecture that supports enterprise BI, regulatory reporting, and advanced analytics. Key Responsibilities Data Modeling & Architecture • Lead the implementation and customization of the Financial Services Logical Data Model to align with enterprise Lakehouse requirements. • Design and maintain scalable Data Lakehouse layers (Bronze/Silver/Gold or Raw/Integrated/Access). • Define enterprise-level data architecture standards for financial data platforms. ETL / ELT Engineering • Architect and develop robust data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services. • Design scalable data ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data. • Migrate and integrate data from multiple source systems into Teradata Vantage and Lakehouse environments. Performance & Optimization • Optimize complex Teradata SQL queries and utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad). • Tune Informatica workflows and mappings for high-volume financial data processing. • Ensure efficient handling of complex financial calculations and reporting workloads. Governance & Compliance • Implement strong data governance practices including: • Data lineage • Data quality validation • Metadata management • Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory reporting standards. • Maintain consistency with FSLDM architectural guidelines. Stakeholder Management • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Finance stakeholders. • Translate complex financial requirements into scalable technical models. • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams. Technical Requirements Mandatory Skills • Expert-level knowledge of Financial Services Logical Data Model. • Extensive hands-on experience with Teradata Vantage (Architecture, Utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad). • Advanced proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services. • Proven experience in designing and implementing Data Lakehouse architectures. Domain Expertise • Strong understanding of Banking and Financial Services domains, including: • Risk & Finance • Regulatory Reporting • Retail Banking • Financial Data Governance Preferred Qualifications • Experience working on large-scale international banking programs. • Exposure to modern cloud-based data platforms. • Strong architectural documentation and leadership capabilities. • Ability to mentor and guide offshore/onshore data engineering teams.
