As a Payroll Accountant at Fivetran, you will play a significant role in the success of the accounting department by ensuring efficient financial close and reporting processes. Your attention to detail, ability to deliver results under deadlines, and effective cross-functional collaboration will be key to your success in this role.
• *Role Overview:**
You will be responsible for performing and reviewing month-end payroll close activities, including the preparation and review of US & PEO payroll general ledger entries. Your tasks will also involve preparing and supporting monthly payroll accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for journal entries and reports. Additionally, you will work closely with the international payroll team to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll accounting.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform and review month-end payroll close activities
- Prepare and support monthly payroll accruals
- Conduct payroll account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Perform multi-currency liability account reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls over payroll accounting processes
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting of payroll expenses
- Collaborate with international payroll team
- Prepare monthly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement payroll accounts
- Assist in new processes and system implementation
- Support annual audit schedules and inquiries by auditors
- Assist with ad hoc projects as required
• *Qualifications Required:**
- Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounting-related experience
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Ability to work US-based shift
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and other MS Office products
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and ownership of tasks
- Experience with NetSuite (a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
