Periodontist RolePeriodontists specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating gum diseases and conditions affecting the supporting structures of teeth, like bone and ligaments . They perform procedures such as scaling, root planing, gum grafts, and dental implant placements . These professionals also manage advanced cases like periodontitis and educate patients on maintaining gum health . Endodontist RoleEndodontists focus on issues inside the tooth, particularly the pulp, nerves, and tissues, often performing root canals and related surgeries . Key duties include diagnosing oral pain via X-rays, conducting nonsurgical root canal treatments, apicoectomies, and replanting knocked-out teeth . They require advanced training beyond general dentistry and emphasize pain management and post-procedure care . ​Dental surgeon ​We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist (BDS) to provide comprehensive oral health care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing dental conditions, performing routine treatments, and promoting preventive care. You will be the primary point of contact for patient oral health, ensuring a comfortable experience and high-quality clinical outcomes. ​Key Responsibilities - ​Clinical Diagnosis: Conduct thorough oral examinations, take and interpret dental X-rays, and diagnose dental decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues. - ​Restorative Procedures: Perform standard dental procedures including fillings, root canal therapy (on uncomplicated cases), crown and bridge preparation, and scaling and polishing. - ​Minor Surgery: Conduct routine extractions (non-surgical or simple extractions) and manage minor oral surgical procedures. - ​Preventive Care: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, plaque control, and the importance of regular check-ups. - ​Treatment Planning: Develop and present comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans to patients, explaining the risks, benefits, and alternatives clearly. - ​Patient Management: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) of all patient treatments and progress. - ​Collaboration: Work effectively with dental hygienists, assistants, and reception staff. Know when to refer complex cases to specialists (e.g., Endodontists, Periodontists, or Oral Surgeons). - ​Compliance: Adhere to all dental council guidelines, sterilization protocols, and infection control standards to ensure patient safety. ​Required Qualifications & Skills - ​Education: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from an accredited institution. - ​Licensure: Must hold a valid, active registration with the relevant Dental Council (e.g., Dental Council of India). - ​Clinical Skills: Proficiency in restorative dentistry, periodontics, and prosthodontics. - ​Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise surgical and restorative work. - ​Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (to explain complex procedures to patients), patience, empathy, and professional integrity. - ​Experience: [ "1–3 years of clinical experience preferred" or "Open to fresh graduates with strong clinical internship experience"].
