Software Engineer (Full stack developer- Java, React & AWS)

About the role: Full Stack Software Engineer – Corporate Systems and Architecture Gartner is looking for a skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Corporate Systems and Architecture team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on development and implementation of solutions that support our corporate platforms and business operations, with a primary focus on Java backend development. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications. You are a developer who thrives on writing clean, efficient code and enjoys solving real-world business problems through technology. You understand the importance of building maintainable solutions and are comfortable working across both backend and frontend technologies. What you’ll do: • Develop Solutions: Implement robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs using Java. • Frontend Development: Build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using ReactJS. • Database Implementation: Design and develop solutions using relational databases. • Cloud Development: Use AWS services for developing, deploying and managing applications. • System Integration: Integrate and automate workflows as needed. • Collaboration: Participate in Agile/Scrum teams, collaborating with product managers and fellow developers to deliver features from concept to deployment. • Development Tools: Work with Eclipse, IntelliJ, and/or VSCode as your primary development environments. What you'll need: Must Have- • 2–4 years of professional experience in the IT industry. • Backend Mastery: Proven experience developing production-scale, customer-facing web services (Java or Python). • Experience developing with AWS cloud services • Proficient in working with any relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) • Experience building web applications with ReactJS • Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools • Comfortable using Eclipse, IntelliJ, and/or VSCode IDEs Good to Have/opportunity to learn: • Experience with Python • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration • Experience with NoSQL databases • Knowledge of RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems • Experience with Git for source control Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and teamwork skills Join Gartner to directly contribute to the development and enhancement of our corporate systems and help drive the success of our business operations through high-quality software solutions.
