AI Lead Engineer / Full-Stack AI-ML Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled AI Lead Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI solutions that power intelligent decision-making systems for enterprise and government platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on experience across the full AI lifecycle—from data engineering and model training to deployment, monitoring, and optimization. You will lead AI innovation initiatives, mentor technical teams, and build production-grade AI systems that solve real-world problems at scale. Key Responsibilities AI Architecture & Strategy • Design end-to-end AI system architecture for scalable production environments • Define model pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment strategies • Evaluate and select frameworks, models, and tools Model Development & Training • Build and train ML/DL models (NLP, CV, Predictive Analytics, Recommendation Systems) • Perform feature engineering and dataset preparation • Optimize hyperparameters and training pipelines • Implement distributed training pipelines (GPU/TPU clusters) Data Engineering • Build data ingestion pipelines from APIs, streaming sources, sensors, logs, etc. • Design ETL workflows and data preprocessing pipelines • Handle structured, unstructured, and real-time data Model Evaluation & Optimization • Conduct validation, benchmarking, and performance testing • Implement explainability and fairness checks • Optimize inference speed and memory usage Deployment & Productionization • Deploy models using REST APIs or microservices • Containerize models using Docker/Kubernetes • Build CI/CD pipelines for ML systems (MLOps) Monitoring & Maintenance • Monitor model drift and performance degradation • Implement logging, alerting, and retraining triggers • Manage versioning and rollback strategies AI Infrastructure & Scaling • Design GPU/cloud architecture for large-scale inference • Optimize system latency and throughput • Implement distributed serving frameworks Leadership & Collaboration • Lead and mentor AI/ML engineers and data scientists • Collaborate with product, backend, and frontend teams • Translate business needs into technical AI solutions Required Technical Skills Core AI/ML • Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX • NLP, Computer Vision, LLMs, embeddings • Model optimization and fine-tuning Data & Backend • Python, FastAPI or Flask, SQL/NoSQL • Data processing tools such as Pandas, Spark, Airflow Infrastructure & Deployment • Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD • Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • GPU environments including CUDA, Triton, vLLM, etc. AI Tooling • Vector databases such as Weaviate, Pinecone, or FAISS • ML Ops tools such as ML flow or Weights & Biases • Experiment tracking and model registry systems Full-Stack Integration • API integration with frontend dashboards • Real-time pipelines and streaming architecture • Integration with existing enterprise platforms Preferred Experience • 5+ years in AI/ML development • Experience leading technical teams • Experience building production AI systems • Experience with government or enterprise platforms (preferred) • Experience with real-time intelligence or analytics systems Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
