Quality Assurance Leader-Inpatient Medical Coding

Job Title: Team Lead – Medical Coding QA – IP DRG Location: Aurangabad Work Mode: Work from Office (Mandatory) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Medical Coding QA Team Lead who will be responsible for ensuring coding quality, conducting second-level QA audits, and managing a team of medical coders. The role involves maintaining high coding accuracy, supporting team development, and ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Perform second-level QA audits on medical coding to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines. • Ensure adherence to ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG coding standards. • Lead and manage a team of coders while ensuring productivity and quality targets are met. • Provide feedback, coaching, and training to team members based on audit findings. • Review coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement and corrective actions. • Prepare and share quality reports, dashboards, and client updates. • Handle client communication and reporting related to coding quality and performance. • Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and client expectations. • Support process improvements and quality enhancement initiatives. • Maintain documentation and follow audit protocols and compliance requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in Medical Coding / Coding QA. • 6–12 months of documented Team Lead experience. • Strong knowledge of IP DRG coding guidelines. • Experience in performing second-level QA audits. • Strong team management and leadership skills. • Good client communication and professional email writing skills. • Exposure to Epic, Optum, 3M, and Cerner platforms. Education & Certifications • Life Science Graduate • CPC , COC ,CCS or CIC Certification - Mandate
