As a Technical Writer III, your role involves creating, developing, writing, editing, and publishing technical documentation for associated products or processes while ensuring project deadlines are met. Your responsibilities include: - Researching, writing, and editing technical documentation such as owners manuals, installation manuals, service manuals, and bulletins for all product lines. - Developing and publishing technical and parts manuals in a timely and accurate manner. - Creating deadline-driven documentation that meets style guide requirements and user expectations. - Collaborating with cross-functional team members to gather product information and translate it into accessible, user-friendly documentation. - Editing current publications by gathering information from other company publications. - Working closely with the corporate New Product Introduction team to ensure all relevant technical publications are available for the product at launch. - Participating in the design process with engineers and service to create technical documentation from the customer perspective. - Creating or modifying Style Sheets for technical document types. - Providing mentorship and training to the technical writer I & II. Your qualifications should include: - Bachelors degree in Technical Communications or related field, or equivalent experience. In terms of work experience, you should have: - 5 years of technical writing or related experience. - 3 years of experience working with industrial or similar products. - Previous experience using Arbortext Styler. Key Skills and Abilities: - Strong attention to detail. - Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. - Knowledge of XML coding. - Proficiency in Arbortext, Adobe Suite, Framemaker, and related programs. - Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills. - Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude.
